H.A.R.P. CC: Building Strong Marriages for Healthy Families

Welcome to the H.A.R.P. CC website! H.A.R.P. is proud to be one of the 125 Marriage Education grants awarded by the United States Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), Administration for Children and Families. The five-year grant to serve Cameron County will enable us to meet our goal of reaching 400 Cameron County couples per year to strengthen existing marriages, prepare those considering marriage, or help those who are not married and who have children together establish stable co-parenting relationships for their children. Additionally, we plan to educate Cameron County youth on important conflict resolution, emotion management and vital communication skills for healthy relationships. Along with our classes we will also be offering:
  • Support groups for couples, where they will be able to reinforce the principles they have learned and form connection for a rich social network
  • A mentoring program, allowing mature and successful marriages to share their experience and wisdom with younger couples
  • Community events and an advertising campaign that will create awareness and celebrate local couples and their successes!
*All of our services are bilingual and FREE to Cameron County residents!
